We are a group of passionate leaders, both community leaders and on base leadership, who are committed to create a clear pathway by which the community can easily assist and contribute to the Quality of Life for Airmen and their families.
It is our desire to remove any obstacles that may stand in the way of allowing the community to contribute resources (time, financial, volunteer hours, clothing, pantry supplies, etc) in assisting our local military community to TRIVE!
We do NOT desire to duplicate anything already being done by so many exceptional organizations.
We do NOT desire to replace or change anything, or any organization in how they are already operating.
We are NOT an organization, rather individuals, collaborating to do our part to support mission readiness by assisting where we can when we can.
When we say WE, we mean ANY who have a desire to jump in and join this initiative! This is NOT a private club, but rather a group of interested community leaders locking arms in an effort to bridge the gap in any way that supports our military members to THRIVE! All are invited and welcome to participate!
Did you know that the military cannot "officially" ask or request assistance from the community in any way. They cannot share on a social media site that they are in search of a sponsor to assist them with an event. They cannot list out items that their food pantry is in need of.
However, WE can!
The community can!
While we partner with the base to learn the various needs (because we ask them, not the other way around) we can then pass along to the community how to be of service with very specific requests. In a nutshell, that summarizes what this is all about!
And while that may seem like a technicality, it ensures our military is following rules set in place for very specific reasons.
This site is meant to assist in creating a win/win. The very people who have dedicated their lives to preserving our freedoms receive assistance as appropriate to the need.
And we, the community, have the opportunity to partner with some of our country's greatest hero's, and give something back to those that give so much.
Many business and individuals ask how they can support the local military community. And honestly, the answer has not always been easy, clear cut, or obvious.
And, if you do have something you would like to donate, there are often legal barriers that can make it challenging to know the correct steps. As shared above, we desire to provide clarity on this process, and remove those obstacles.
Lets get specific on the exact way(s) you can utilize this site to participate, donate, volunteer, etc.
Listed under the PROGRAMS tab are the various "programs" that operate under the Military & Family Readiness Center on Hill Air Force Base with the 75th Air Base Wing.
Step 1 - As an individual, or organization, decide what program you wish to support.
Step 2 - Decide from the listed items or from the calendar of events on the Program page how you would like to support. You could donate requested items, or sponsor an event, or donate volunteer hours in person, etc.
Step 3 - Send an email HERE and let us know your desire to jump in. We will get back with you as quickly as possible with the next steps specific to your interests, and connecting you with the appropriate POC for the Program.
A few notes: There is nothing here set in stone. If you have a desire to participate in any way, we desire to partner with you. We do not have all the answers. And we continue to evolve as we learn more, and work with such dedicated community members! Let us know your thoughts, how you might like to get involved, or any other input you may have.
We are in this TOGETHER - and we desire to hear from YOU!
